Happy Halloweeen!

Image
Happy Halloween! We started our day sleeping in and having "eyeballs" for breakfast which Emily loved. Mac seemed to enjoy them but liked his fruit salad better! After church and some lunch out the girls did some shopping while Mac and John hit the pool for some laps. After a fun Halloween dinner the kids were more then ready to get into their costumes! Emily chose to be Tinkerbell and Mac was Iron Man. Both kids loved going door to door, after a few streets and a few scary people and houses Emily was done with trick-or-treating but Mac wanted to do some more. John took Emily home and Mac and I stopped at a few more houses. After we got home the kids got to eat a little candy, after a good teeth brushing the kids were fast asleep......it's been a long day! Happy Halloween!

Evening of fun

My MOPS group had a gathering at a local sports complex that has all the fun stuff, gymnastics, laser tag, bounce houses, soccer and more. Mac, John and I played laser tag which was awesome, Mac thought it was cool. We ate, played in the bounce house, did some gymnastics and crafts. The kids are exhausted tonight...and so are we!

Berkeley Plantation

Image
We went to visit Berkeley Plantation today, it was a neat place with alot of amazing history. The plantation is between here and Richmond and is beautifully located on the James River. After a tour of the home, we walked around the grounds. After the plantation John and I rode bikes home, about 36 miles, it was a windy but good bike ride!

I want to go for a run

After Mac woke up this morning, he came downstairs dressed in his workout gear and told us he wanted to go for a run. So John obliged and got dressed warmly (it was 40 degrees) and they went for a short jog. Great way to start the day!

Howl-o-scream

We went to Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream this afternoon and evening. We left by 7, the park becomes "scary" at 6 pm and as afraid as Emily is of costumes we thought we'd better leave before it was too dark. We had a good time, caught a few shows and got in some rides and one haunted house. The kids really enjoyed the aviary, Emily wanted a bird to sit on her arm but as soon as it did she shrieked! A visit to Elmo and Grover topped off our night! It was fun and a great way to start a Halloween weekend.

Halloween starts......

John did a race at work today where they had to dress in a costume, this was Johns! When he came home I was upstairs and all of a sudden I heard Emily scream like she was being hurt but John walked through the door wearing this and she was terrified! We determined it's the teeth that freak her out, Mac LOVED it. Halloween should be fun!
