Happy Halloween

Image
We started our day with our annual flu shots then we were off to Orlando.  After getting settled we headed out for a $3 burrito then to find a neighborhood for trick or treating.  Mac wanted to be Harry Potter this year, he recently read the entire series and really enjoyed both the books and movies.  Emily thought Hermione Granger from Harry Potter was pretty cool so we had two great characters this year!  We found a neighborhood nearby and the traffic was backed up getting into the community so we figured it must be a good place. The houses were beautiful and some elaborately decorated and there were tons and tons of people everywhere.  We were surprised at how many people there eventhough not many houses were actually giving out candy.  The lines for candy at some houses were crazy, we couldn't get over the amount of people.  The experience was fun and we weren't too upset that they didn't have bags and bags of candy!  Happy Halloween everyone....

Running, flipping and alligators,.....oh my!

Mac and I started today with a 10 mile Halloween run through a cemetery.  We needed a training run/race for our half marathon in a few weeks so it was a perfect fit for us.  John and Emily cheered us on!  Mac finished 2nd in his age group and I finished 16th, not to shabby! After our run we headed to Georgia to explore a little.  We didn't do anything too excited but Emily got her back hand spring in!  We returned back to the RV and the boys took off to golf.  They had a fun time and even found an alligator on the course.  Only in Florida!

St. Augustine stop 2

Downtown St. Augustine is so beautiful.  We spent some time exploring and were able to watch the cannon fire at Castillo De San Marcos.  This place was amazing and built so solid!  The kids "enlisted" in the Spanish army.  Such a neat place and town!

Today we went to St. Augustine.  John and Mac really wanted to visit the World Golf Hall of Fame so we dropped them off and Emily and I went shopping.  John and Mac had a great time and even got to putt a little!  Emily and I found an Old Navy outlet...so we had fun too!

More friends

We didn't do much today, the kids were slow with getting their school work done.  We did meet up with some friends from Hawaii that now live in the Jacksonville area.  PJ and Mac swam together and were buddies from Aulea.  Mac swam with PJ and his new team for 2 hours, after a half an hour dry land workout!  His legs and arms were like jelly after, he hasn't been in a pool much since we left Hawaii. After swimming Lisa had us over for dinner which was delicious.  Their house is beautiful and we all had a great time visiting and hanging out.  Emily loved the kittens they had....she would have snuck one in her bag if I let her!  It was a nice night and great to see friends, thanks Simon family!!!!!
