The Mac Kinnon Family

One of our favorite things about Hawaii has been the Imu turkey.  This is our second year of doing our turkey this way, it is so yummy.  We prepare it on Wednesday, take it to the Imu pit, they cook it in the pit and we pick it up Thursday morning.  It's so tender the meat literaly fell off the bone.  John didn't have to use his knife!  We also bought a second ticket for a pork butt, it turned out fantastic too..we have a bunch of yummy meat in the freezer.   Mac loves the turkey legs....just like his great aunt Linda!!!!  It was a great morning....then I was off to work!!!  Happy Turkey Day!!!

While Finn has his moments...he really does love the kids. He is a good dog......if we could just get him to stop taking our socks!

The kids take an art class Monday at our local homeschool co-op.  The've done some pretty neat stuff, both kids really seem to enjoy it!  Guess who's work is who's? Emily's Mac's Mac's Emily's Emily's Mac's Mac's Mac's Emily's Mac's Emily's Mac's Emily's Mac's

I think someone is pushing the envelope just a little bit......

John has a softball tournament through work, his office make it to the championship.  The kids were super excited to see him play.....they did great but did lose.  John had a few war wounds but loved being back on the field!

The kids swim team held their annual swimathon tonight.  Mac and Emily's both swam and did great.  Emily swam 42 laps (1050 yards) in 30 minutes and Mac swam 77  laps (1925 yards) in 30 minutes.   We weren't sure Emily would make it the entire 30 minutes, especially after running 3 miles this morning but she did great and hung in there for the full 30 minutes.  Mac also did great....even after a bunch of junk food and smores!  It was such a great team building event and so much fun for the kids.  Thank you to all who donated on the kids behalf.....you are awesome!!!!!   We were so proud of both kids....keep swimming!!!!

We wanted to see if Emily loved running as much as the rest of us did so we decided to sign up for the color run.  Thinking it would be fun for Emily....we made sure we trained her for it.  While she did fantastic and hung in there....she doesn't really love running.  I think she loved the end of the race and getting to throw all the color "up" in the sky.  John, Mac and I loved the run and had a blast.....were hoping Emily did too...and just hasn't realized it yet!
