Long road trip....

Image
We left California yesterday, bringing Brian back with us for a week.  We planned on it taking two days but the kids were exceptionally good for being trapped in my car, all 3 snuggly together in the back....we decided to drive the whole way through.  16 hours and 800 miles we arrived home at midnight, it was a pretty great, stress free trip!

Water park fun

Wednesday, our last day in California we spent the day at a local water park.  The kids absoultely loved it and had a fabulous time.  After we were done we went to a local pizza buffet with an arcade for dinner, they enjoyed that too.  Emily said "This was the funnest day ever"!  We didn't get too many pictures..phones and water are not a good mix.  It was a great last day in California!

More skatepark

All the boys wanted to do today was to go back to the skatepark.  Toni gave Emily some roller skates so she was able to use those on the sidewalks, Mac was a great big brother helping her.  Mac did great at the skatepark, he and Brian were trying to do all kinds of tricks.  Emily was extremely patient, she played for a while, looked for bugs and soaked up some sunshine!  Even Uncle Jim took a turn on a skateboard!

The kids loved Six Flags, the boys rode a whole bunch of rides together.  Brian isn't as much of a thrill seeker as Mac, so I got to ride several big roller coasters with him.  I realized I'm getting old and my love of coasters isn't what it use to be but hearing the laughter and excitement from Mac makes it all so worth it!  We had to stand in line for some of the coasters about 30 minutes, aftwards Mac would so "that was so worth it, it was awesome"!  One of the coasters took our picture, Mac is laughing with his hands up...he just loves the thrills. He rode a water ride with Jan and got soaked, thought that was hilarous too! Emily loved the variety of rides but she ...
