Rolling Hills Honey

Image
On Saturday, Dad and I made our own honey! It's a cool process of how you get the honey from the frames. We had to scrape the frames, then it would go into a strainer then drip into a bucket. Then we let it sit for a while then opened a hole in the bottom of the bucket and let it drip into jars. We got a lot of bottles and it was really fun! Luckily we didn't get stung by any bees. We have been putting honey on pretty much everything and my favorites are apples and honey, and bananas, peanut butter, and honey. We named our honey Rolling Hills Honey, and made labels to put on all the jars. Here are some pictures of all our honey!

Ocean shores

Last weekend we went to Ocean Shores for the weekend! It was  lots of fun! We went to the beach a lot and watched the sunset go down and it was really pretty. We also got to ride horses on the beach was probably my favorite part. We rode our bikes into town one day and got ice cream which was fun too. We brought the dogs, the kitten, our bikes, our kayaks, and the RV, so we had to bring the truck and the van. The water was pretty cold, so mac and I only went in to our waists. The dogs loved to run on the beach, but they would just keep running and Mac and I had to chase them, and they eventually came back. I thought it was really cool how we could drive on the beach too. We had smores and sat by the fire a lot too. Another fun thing we did was drop crab pots from the kayaks and we got   lots  of crabs and we had it for dinner that night! Here are some pictures from our trip!

new kayaks

A few weeks ago, I did a sailing camp with a few friends, and I enjoyed being out on the water, so dad thought it would be a good idea to buy kayaks. I bought one with my own money, and dad bought one too. Mac wants to wait until he finds a fishing kayak to buy one. We have gone out a few times and it has been really fun, although one time we went out and my legs got all sunburnt and red and they hurt really bad! Here are some pictures from our kayaking adventures.

Hike to buckhorn lake

Image
A little bit ago, we took a really long hike up to Buckhorn lake. Dad and I stayed the night and camped while mom and Mac hiked back that day. I think the hike was about 12 miles rounds trip, and we were all really tired after. we took both dogs, but dad and I kept Bailor at camp. The lake was really pretty, but we couldn't go into the lake because it was so cold. The whole hike was very pretty, but also very long. Here are some pictures!
