Happy New Year!

It's hard to believe how fast a year has passed, but it has and onto see what's in store for us for 2011!  We aren't into doing much on New Years Eve, I'll probably be asleep before midnight.  We've told Mac he can stay up until midnight if he wants.....let's see if he makes it!  Happy New Year!

Tap or ballet?

The only thing Emily wanted this year was tap and ballet shoes and a leotard for ballet class that she will start in the New Year.  She's been wanting to do ballet for months and I agreed she could do it when she's three and she hasn't stopped talking about it since her birthday.  Santa brought her all the gear she needed and she wears the shoes around the house.  She's so excited she couldn't decide which shoes to wear (tap or ballet) so she wore one of each!

Lego airplane

Mac got a lego airplane from Gran and Grandpa Robert yesterday and he couldn't wait to put it together.  As soon as his feet hit the floor this morning he was ready to start on it.  He started by himself and did a pretty great job.  I helped him with the plane but he did the other stuff on his own, he loves it.  He's sleeping with his head on this new pillow pet and the lego airplane is beside his bed!

Christmas number two

Yesterday we traveled to Aunt Rae's to see Gran, Grandpa Robert, Aunt Linda and Aunt Rae for a second Christmas.  The kids got to open more packages and were very excited with all the goodies they received.  They each got a pillow pet which they both love and have had it with them since they've gotten them.  It was a fun day visiting and enjoying time with family.  Mac and John enjoyed a walk to the doc and got an excellent picture of each of them.  It was a good day!

Lovely snow

What a beautiful sight to wake up to this morning, snow started falling last night but it was about 4 inches deep when we woke up and it's been steadily falling throughout the day.  Were expected to have about 10 inches to a foot by the time it's done.  John and I went for a run this morning in the snow, it was beautiful, then we played with the kids for a while and John and Mac built a snow man.  What a perfect day, rest, lots of left overs in the fridge and beautiful snow!

What a wonderful Christmas Day!

Wow, what a wonderful day to celebrate the birth of Jesus.  God is so awesome and wonderful! The kids got up this morning and were ever so excited to go see if Santa came.  Of course we left reindeer food out last night, a carrot for Rudolph and cookies for Santa.  As we were waiting for everyone to get up the kids looked out the window to see if the reindeer food was gone.  Then the grand rush downstairs, Mac was super surprised, Emily was a little more hesitant, then excited.  Santa brought Mac a walking Iron Man and some tops and a bowl thing that they spin/race in, Emily got a princess tent and all her gear to start ballet in January.  Both kids got the two things on their list and they were so excited.  Next they moved into their stockings then their presents.  The kids are so different, Mac wanted to tear through every present as fast as he could and move onto the next while Emily wanted to take her time opening each one, play with it awhil...
