Looking through "Blue" sunglasses

Emily was upset tonight, Mac says "I know what will make her feel better", he goes into the garage and gets is rocket that they blasted off and recovered....it didn't make her feel better.  John says "he's looking through blue sunglasses (pink vs. blue)......at least he wanted to make her feel better!

A girl who loves cake.....

We went to a friends birthday party tonight, Emily LOVED the cake,  she first tried to put the whole piece in her mouth. The girl loves her sweets!

Way to Rocket!

Image
Mac had some money saved up and it was burning a hole in his pocket so John took him to Toys R Us.  They found a engine powered rocket that shoot 1000 feet in the air, so we took it to an open field and launched it, it was awesome.  The rocket ended up going across the field, street and behind stores at least 3 to 4 football fields away.  We went looking for it but couldn't find it...John says he's going to try to find it tomorrow but there is alot of pricker bushes and who know what else....for $10 buy another rocket....

Dont talk to me anymore

We were driving home from Costco today and the kids were fired up.  Emily had gotten a new doll and the kids were trying to come up with a name for her.  Emily didn't like Mac's choice and he kept talking about the name and other names.  Emily kept saying the name she wanted, then she gets mad and says "Don't talk to me anymore".  John and I just looked at each other surprised, she's only 3....what's up the attitude.  We have no idea where that comes from.....

Eyes....

Mac had to have an eye exam today, which they dilated his pupils.  He thought these shades were cool.....

Stories....

The kids were playing so well together this afternoon, they were upstairs and it was very quiet (usually not a good thing) so I went to investigate and found Mac and Emily in our closet with a flashlight and Mac was telling Emily stories.  It was very sweet.  They love their stories, John tells Mac one every night, a treasure for them both!

Iron boy and girl on stage

Image
Mac and Emily were playing Iron Man today, I stopped to grab a pic and they turned on the charm and started singing and dancing.  It was very cute, I uploaded two of the better videos at the bottom of this post!

Playing on the ball field

We all had fun playing on the ball field today, Emily was a great cheerleader!

Many faces of Mac practicing t-ball

Image
T-ball will be starting soon so John has begun to take Mac to the field to practicing t-ball.  Today we all went and I captured some great pics of Mac.  He has so many faces and expressions, it's fun to watch him!

Morning run

Image
We wanted to do a family run this morning, we decided to run through the battlefields.  It was another beautiful day here.  Emily loved chilling out in the jogger and Mac did great riding his bike for 5 miles!  Great way to start the day.

Emilyisms

Since we do Macisms from time to time, guess it's time to start some Emilyisms.  Lately she's been worried about "giving dolls/toy's away" so she'll say, I love my doll, I don't want to give it away, I want to keep it.  Today Mac and John were out running an errand, Emily asks where's daddy?  I explain he's running an errand and she says "I love daddy and I want to keep him".....Guess we'll keep him!

Circle of friends

Image
Emily created some sort of thing with some of her stuffed animals, babies and Dora's.  She sat in the middle like a proud princess, of course Mac had to copy!

Family bike ride, sort of...

Image
With beautiful weather here today (temp in the low 70's) I wanted to go for a bike ride.  I've been itching to get out.  My friend Catherine offered to watch the kids and John made it home in time from work to join me.  Catherine lives a little less than a half mile from our house so I asked the kids if they wanted to ride their bikes, knowing it would be a challenge for Emily.  The did and ended up doing a great job.  Aside from a few stops to get a drink she made it and of course Mac did great!  It was a lot of fun, it will be so nice to do bike rides together as the kids get older.  John and I had a great ride together!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Image
What a great Valentine's Day!  I got up early and made the kids special heart pancakes with cool whip and valentine sprinkles!  Mac had a great party at class, all the kids had lunch and exchanged cards which was very cute!  Then when we got home, the mailman brought two packages and some cards for the kids.  Grandma Jan sent stuffed animals for the kids which both kids loved.  Holly sent an awesome book that she recorded the story, the kids thought that was super cool (good video at the bottom of this post).  She also sent some valentine whoopie pies, which were also a hit. Cards also came from Pappy (on Saturday with some special money to spend) and Gran and Grandpa Robert.  The kids were so thrilled, it was like it was their birthday all over again!  I don't know if they really understand what Valentine's day is yet....but they will! It was a good day, wishing my hubby was here to share it with me!  Happy Valentine's Day to all! ...
