Mac had a pizza party tonight so John, Emily and I went out to the golf course for dinner....and John hit a bucket of balls on the driving range.  Emily joined in for a little while then we all had a little fun on the putting green!

My dad always made us think he didn't like cats when we were growing up.....I think he does like cats and just didn't know it!  Bye Pappy and Nana.......safe travels back to mainland!

One last adventure...

Tonight is Pappy and Nana's last night in Hawaii.  We are ending it with a big Hawaiian Luau, we haven't done one yet and thought it would be fun and give them a taste of some more Hawaiian foods and entertainment.  It was alot of fun, even Emily and I got up on stage to do some hula. John joined in too!  The kids got a Tahitian tattoo and Mac ate his way through the show!  What a great time and a way to end their two week vacation!

A visit to Pearl Harbor

It's Pappy and Nana's last day and were filling it up.  Our first stop today was to tour the USS Arizona and Pearl Harbor.  It's always humbling to see the Memorial and all that was lost that day.  After our tour we ate some lunch that we packed before heading off to our next adventure!

Surprise balloons....and cake!

Since we gave Pappy an early birthday present we thought it would be fun to surprise him with an early birthday cake.  I picked up a few balloons, decorations and a yummy local cake called a Haupia cake.  When the boys got home from golfing Pappy didn't even notice the balloons and decorations.  He excitedly told us about his golfing and then grabbed a drink and plopped down on the couch.  We were all busting up laughing that he didn't even notice.  Once he realized what we were laughing at....he was surprised.  He really enjoyed his cake after a yummy salmon dinner!

One last course.....

After exploring Hanauma Bay this morning the boys took off to play one last round of golf.  This will be Pappy's 4th course in two weeks....I know golfing has been one of the highlights of his trip!
