A special golf day

Holly and I wanted to do an early birthday present for dad, what could be a better present then golfing at a famous fancy course!  We had planned for John and Pappy to golf  the Palmer course at Turtle Bay.  Mac knew they were doing this and really wanted to go.  He asked almost daily if there was any way he could go.  Mac has been golfing really well so we asked Pappy if it would make his day more special to have Mac with him....he said it would be great so after talking with Mac's teacher we decided we would let him skip school to go golfing.  It was a beautiful day and the course was fantastic.  There were some tough holes and Mac lost a few balls in a lake.....then was excited to hit it over!  They enjoyed lunch before tee-ing off and really soaked in  the day.  They finished with "warm towels" when they returned to the club house.  It's sounded awful fancy......they all had a blast. Happy early birthday Pappy!

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
