Waiting for luggage

Image
We picked Grandma Jan up at the airport, Mac waited patiently for her bag.  I thought it was a cute picture!

Calculator fascination

I guess I really hadn't had a calculator out much, today Mac saw it and was immediately fascinated with it.  He figured out it can add, multiply, etc. and was very interested in all the numbers it would come up with.  It kept him busy for over a half an hour.  Of course then Emily wanted a turn, she was as fascinated by it, but when asked how it works I told her she had to put the numbers in and ask it to do something, so she started talking to it!

Speaking of dolls

Image
As I've mentioned before Emily loves her dolls.  They are everywhere in our house.  Yesterday I found several "sleeping" on our stair landing, and another few "sleeping" on the stairs.  Last night Emily came into our bed in the middle of the night, bringing John and I each a baby to sleep with too!  I love her imagination and she loves babies!

Chilling on the couch

Image
I did a long run this morning and John was working on stuff so the kids vegged out on a movie for a while, this is how they were chilling out.  Notice the Dora's in Emily's arms.  She always is holding onto a doll of some sort!

Crazy week

I received two calls today asking if I've had a busy week since I haven't blogged since Tuesday!  I'm glad the blog is loved!  It has been a crazy week.  Our heads are spinning with trying to figure out when, where and how were going to move and all the fun stuff that comes along with another PCS transfer.  It was a crazy week and today we spent the day working on getting the camper cleaned and ready for our trip in a week.  Mac has his spring break so we are off to DC and NC.  We never got to use the camper last year with all of John's work travels so we are thrilled and super excited to go camping soon!

Special song

Image
At my MOPS meeting today, we had our special "tea and treasure" meeting which is a meeting where we dress up, have an awesome speaker and special food.  The nursery staff had our children "perform" for us, it was a surprise so I didn't have my camera.  I took a few pics with my phone, then asked Emily to sing again while we were eating lunch.   She sang great (video is at the bottom)!

Highlight of the weekend

Image
We had another beautiful weekend here in Williamsburg.  We spent alot of time outdoors, Mac just loved being outside.  He found some kids sidewalk paint in the garage and wanted to paint his race car.  Since it's washable we told him he could, he had a blast!  He is so proud of his paint job!

Yum....ice cream

Image
There's a new frozen yogurt place that opened up locally, since it was 80 degrees today what else is more perfect to do after dinner?  The place is awesome, you serve yourself and they have a variety of toppings so it was perfect just to get a little for the kids.  Emily enjoyed it as she literally licked the bowl clean.  Mac says "I don't want to brush my teeth tonight, this sweet taste in my mouth is so good...."!

Fun lunch

Image
Every other week I hang with Mac's class for lunch so the teacher can get her lunch and have a few minutes to catch up on what she needs to.  Mac loves it (and so does Emily) because he gets to hang with his classmates.  Today it was beautiful and 75 degrees so we had lunch outside, it's so fun to watch them.  Emily wanted to hang with the girls!  What a beautiful day today!

Babies, babies, babies

Image
Emily loves her baby dolls.  She often pics numerous ones and plays with them.  Each of these babies she is playing with has a name and if you look closely, one has a book, another has a little stuffed cat, one has her valentine monkeys, another a comb, a bus, yes she has a plan for them all!  Such a difference between girls and boys........

Emilyism for the day

Emily was asking today about when she will get married. I told her most likely she will get married after college, often you find someone you love in college.  I told her that's where I met daddy and  fell in love with him.  Emily asks "did you hurt your head?"   Oh boy...........

More pics from Pappys

Image
We had a blast at pappy's this weekend.  Yesterday we went to a local toy store, Pappy wanted to get the kids a small gift.  Mac found a cool lego set and Emily picked a new baby doll.  She and Pappy played "babies", Pappy had to help hold some of her babies!  Although it was cool the kids loved getting outside to burn off some energy and of course walk boo!  It was a fun busy weekend, I'm sure Pappy got a good nap in today!

Happy early Birthday Pappy!

Image
Pappy's birthday is the end of next week, the kids wanted to be able to sing happy birthday to Pappy.  Since he's watching what he's eating, we made some "healthy" cupcakes for him!  Happy Birthday Pappy!

Jumpy house fun

Image
While John and I did an 8 mile training run yesterday, Pappy and Karen took the kids to a local jumpy house which is always alot of fun for the kids.  They had a blast!

Big hugs

Image
My mom is in PA too helping to take care of Aunt Linda after her hip replacement last week.  We were able to meet up with them yesterday for a little visit.  Since Linda isn't allowed to bend at 90 degrees yet, the kids got up to give her and Gran big hugs!

Walking the dog

Image
Were in PA visiting Pappy this weekend.  My dad and Karen have a dog named Boo which the kids just love.  She's older and deaf and pretty good with kids.  Mac's favorite thing the past two mornings is to take her out to potty as soon as he gets up.  This morning Mac put on Pappy's shoes to take her out, it was very cute!

Excited for Pappy's

Image
Were heading to Pappy's on Thursday, as we were packing the kids were super excited.  When I went in our room to put some things away I heard snoring.  Emily must have really wanted to make sure she went, she was asleep, camouflaged next to the suitcase!

Great dental check up

The kids had their 6 month check up at the dentist today.  Both kids did wonderful and are cavity free!  Emily was very brave and let them do everything they needed without any fuss!  I'm very thankful the hygienist was so wonderful with her.  Mac as always was great and even got the bigger kid fluoride treatment (where they put the foam in the thing you bite on).  I was expecting some disgust from Mac but he didn't mind it and even picked mint flavor!  Yeah for both kids!

Spring wishes

Mac's teacher asked him today what is the thing they wanted the most right now, his answer ...... "spring".

Just like daddy

Image
The past few days Mac wants to do everything that John does from dressing alike to eating the same stuff, it's kind of cute.  Yesterday they were brushing their teeth together, dressed alike!

Little driver

Image
We were waiting for John while he was in the store, Mac felt pretty special sitting in the drivers seat and acting like daddy!

Hanging out....

Image
The kids can't get enough of being outside when the weather's nice.  This is often what they love to do, Emily flys high on the swing on her belly and Mac hangs upside down!

Third tooth lost.....

Image
Mac lost his third tooth today, he's very excited!  Now the tooth fairy has to remember to come!

Cat of the castle

Image
Emily got an adorable princess castle/tent for Christmas which she loves alot.  Willie also loves the castle, we find him alot throughout the day lounging in the tent, on the Dora couch.  tonight he was chilling, looking through the door, he thinks he owns the place!  It is very cute!

I want to change my name

On a regular basis, at least once or twice a week one of this kids ask if they can change their name.  Mac wants to change his to Max and Emily wants to be Emma.  I keep telling them when they are 18 they can change their name to whatever they like.  I also just realized John uses Max and Emma in his stories he tells them at night. Now I know where it's coming from......
