It's already starting......

Image
Emily and Spencer have been in preschool together for the past two years.  Our families also hang out so the kids know each other well.  Over the past month Spencer and Emily have been playing alot together at preschool.  Last week she told John that she and Spencer were "friends" but Spencer didn't want anyone to know!  Today she came home with these two notes from Spencer.  It's cute now...I don't know if it will be so cute in 10 years!

Boat show

Image
After the fan fest we went to the boat show.   There was a lot to see and do.   The kids had a great time making boats, casting and Emily loved playing in the boat.  Mac didn't want to do it this year....guess he thinks he's getting too big. It was an awesome family day and we are all very tired!

Mariners Fan Fest

Image
We headed over to the city for the Mariners fan fest today.  We started with autographs, they each got to get 2 autographs then we visited a bunch of activities.  Mac and John both loved throwing balls in the field.  Emily thought it was pretty cool to look around the "suites"!  It was cold but fun!

Reading together

The kids got up a few minutes before us this morning.  When I came downstairs I found Mac reading to Emily.  I love they like to hang out with each other!

Jumpy house

Image
Mac was out of school Friday so I took Emily, Mac and one of his buddies to lunch and the jumpy house.  They jumped for a long while, Emily loved the slide!

One last birthday surprise

Image
Mac's birthday seems to keep going....and going!  Friday night we found a box by our door, Mac opened it and had one big smile when he saw the yummy surprise from Uncle Mike and Miss Sarah!  Mac waiting until last night to eat it, after "movie" night and he did share with all of us!  He truly enjoyed the apple and kept saying....."This is soooooo yummy"!  Thanks Mike and Sarah!!!

Words to melt your heart

Emily was helping me cook in the kitchen today and we were working on a new recipe I have for granola bars.  When we were all done I let her lick the spatula and told her one of the best things about helping to cook is you get to "sample" the recipe.  A few moments later Emily says "I think the best thing is spending time with you"!  Melts my heart.....

Sweet thank you card

One of the boys we took snowboarding with Mac wrote us a nice thank you note.  It's the first one we've received from one of Mac's friends, what a nice boy!

She's growing up

Emily finally hit 40 pounds, she's been waiting so long to be able to move up to a booster seat.  We got her a seat last week but I told her she had to help me clean out the car before I'd put it in.  Since the boys were away Monday we spent a few hours cleaning out the car and installing her booster seat.  She is so tickled....made me a little sad realizing as I pulled out the old seat that may babies aren't babies anymore!

One more present

Image
Gran and Grandpa Robert had planned to be here to celebrate Mac's birthday but Gran came down with the flu and was hospitalized.  We were all sad to miss their visit but know they'll come soon!  They sent off Mac's birthday gift and Mac got it a few days ago.  He was so tickled to get another gift and was even more excited to see it was the "spy glasses" he has wanted.  We had to make a few rules about where he cannot take pictures or video...he is having alot of fun with them!

And off to more snow fun

Image
Mac's buddy Ethan's (who was snowboarding with him) family has a cabin about 30 minutes from where we were snowboarding and Ethan's dad and brother were spending the weekend there and invited all of us to come after snowboarding.  Since it was all "boys", I opted to head home with Emily but Mac and John went on with Ethan's family.  They had a blast that evening and the next day sledding, snowmobiling and just hanging out.  They got home around 7 and were exhausted.  What a great weekend!
