 Last Saturday I had a volleyball tournament that dad went to, while Mac was mountain biking with his friends, and mom was working. At the volleyball tournament, and our team didn't lose a match! We took first place.  Mac went mountain biking with some friends. He entered a mountain biking club where they do races and bike. Here are some videos of all our fun!

Yesterday I got a hoverboard! I had ordered it while we were in Whistler, and it came in the mail last week. We all tried it, and I have some great videos of mom and dad trying it. A few days ago, Dad, Mac, and I were doing races doing laps around our house, and I got the highest score of 9 seconds. I also went outside with it and went down our hill to get the mail. It's pretty cool! It's not too hard to ride once you learn how. You have to lean forward to make it go forward, backward to make it go backward, and so on. It's really fun to ride!

Sorry this is a little late, but Sunday, our last day at Whistler was super fun! In the morning dad and Mac went out skiing and the conditions were great, but then when I went out in the afternoon it got super cold and it was raining and snowing, but we still got some great runs! Then at night we went into town and got some cool souvenirs. We also went into a candy shop which we got some yummy candy from, and we went to an ice cream place that was really good. We played more board games, and mom and Mac did an arm wrestle, and Mac won. Then at the end of the day, all of us were going to go into the hot tub, but there were way too many people, so Mom and Dad went back to our room while Mac and I played in their heated pool. Yesterday was our first day at Whistler! Dad, Mac, and I went skiing, and mom stayed in our room and chilled out. They have a hot tub here that dad, Mac and I went in, and they also have a pool that Mac and I went swimming in. The temperature in the morning was 12 degrees, then warmed up to 20 degrees in the afternoon. Just before we got here, the place we were staying in had a sprinkler problem and a lot of the rooms got soaked! When we got here, all the carpets in our room were soaked, and they had super loud fans going to try to dry the carpet. We ended up still staying here, but we have to deal with the loud fans. We have been playing a lot of board games and watching tv because the ski slopes close at three. We will leave on Monday and get home so Mac and I can study for our mid-terms that are this coming week. We got some cool pictures and videos of all our fun!

Last year we came to Whistler in late March and the skiing season was pretty much over so we made plans to come earlier in the year.  Since we had a busy Christmas the timing was perfect for some family time and fun.  Just as we crossed the Canadian border, we received a call from the owner of the VRBO, they had a sprinkler malfunction in the building, she was told her unit was effected but unsure of the damage.  We arrived and there were numerous units effected some with very severe water damage.  The unit we rented had damage in the dining area, they had just finished sucking up as much water as they could and had 2 huge fans and a dehumidifier going.  The restoration people told us we shouldn't stay in the unit but after calling Vrbo, who were fantastic by the way, but had no suitable units for us to rent. It's a holiday weekend in Whistler so we are out of luck.  So we decided we would deal with what we had too, so here we are!  Not an ideal situat...

Mac is swimming for his high school and is doing well.  He's swimming on varsity and is really enjoying it.  Here's his swim photo's.

We got about 8 inches of snow last night, so we had a snow day today!  Mac and Emily both played with friends and enjoyed the snow.

Yesterday I had a volleyball tournament and our team got second. It was another late night! Today Mac went biking with some friends and had fun. The big football game was on today. It was against the Greenbay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks. Sadly Seattle lost. I made a big snack for us, there is a picture of it down below. I surprised dad with it. Today we also gave the dogs a bath, our bathroom was very messy after! Then tonight we had a fun surprise! We looked out the window and it was snowing! It's the first snow of the year in Poulsbo! This week has been pretty busy! First, on Tuesday we celebrated Mac's birthday early with Grandma Jan, then on Wednesday, I had a basketball meeting then volleyball practice, then Thursday we went to Mac's swim meet. Hopefully, today won't be as busy! Here are some pictures of Mac's swim meet and him opening some presents.

We spent the day at Emily's first volleyball tournament of the season.  She is playing the most of the girls she played with last season, it's been so fun watching these girls learn and grow.  Emily's been playing as a setter, which requires her to be on a certain side during play which is why she and a team mate swap places.  There is a video of her serving at the bottom!  Looking forward to another fun season!
