The Mac Kinnon Family

Emily had her first swim meet today, she swam 25 m in all 4 strokes.  It was a great experience for her and Mac had a good time timing for the event.  He said it felt strange to be at a meet and not swim.  We are proud of her doing her first meet!  Way to go Emily.

Her 4th tooth bites the dust........

The kids had their last day of school today.  Yahoo for SUMMER!!!  They both did fabulous this year and had excellent grades.  Both received various awards, we are very proud of our kiddo!   A fun summer awaits........

Mac's class went to the beach for their end of year party.  I helped with "games", we had pizza and topped it off with a slurpee at 7-11.  The kids raced their canoe's that they made, it was a fun day hanging with these great kids!

I was able to chaperone Emily's end of year school field trip.  We went to Hunama Bay and walked on the reef to learn about some sea creatures.  Other than a tourist photobombing our picture......they kids did great.  We ate lunch there before heading back to school.  It was fun spending the day with first graders!

Emily hasn't lost many teeth yet.....she finally lost one of her top front.  She's so excited for the tooth fairy!!!!

 Mac and John did an early morning ocean swim race.  It was early but they had fun!!!!!

The kids swim team had their quarterly pot luck and awards tonight.  Mac was recognized for his first Qual time....received a special towel!  He was so excited, we are so proud of him for working hard.  He really wants to go to long course states in July!  

Emily and I brought back 6 In-N-Out burgers from Cali and picked up a yummy cake to celebrate John's birthday.  Happy Birthday to an amazing husband, father and friend!!!!!!  I love you!!!!

Today is John's birthday, since Emily and I are in Cali, Mac did a great job making sure he surprised John when they went out to dinner.  On his own accord he had them sing and asked them to celebrate with a piece of cheesecake which is John's favorite!!!!!!  Happy Birthday my love...we will celebrate again tomorrow!!!!

 So while Emily and I are away......Mac and John celebrate John's birthday by doing a triathlon together! They both did great, Mac had a few of his swim buddies doing it with him too.  Mac finished in 58:48, his distances were a 400m swim, 10k bike ride and 2.5k run.   John finished in 1:31:17 doing the Sprint Tri which is a 750m swim, 20k bike ride and 5k run.  I'm so proud of them both.  Mac is really loving the triathlon's!
