Mac's Easter program

Image
Mac had his first Easter program today, his second one is tomorrow. He sings alot at home, it was fun to see him singing away. The second video his class sings a song with another class and in the middle of it the other class does their thing but keep watching, Mac's class finishes off the song. I'm so proud of my little Easter bunny!

Our car is never quiet

John and I are pretty quiet people, for some reason our kids are not. They are constantly talking, singing or screaming in the car. There is rarely a moment of quiet time. Today on the way to swim lessons Mac and Emily were playing with their diego and dora, and Mac was telling everyone a story! Have noise all the time get's rough, but it's also cute when they play together!

Afternoon sun

Image
On Saturday my dad, Karen and I went to a musical and Holly hung out with the kids. They enjoyed some sun, Emily chatted on the phone and they enjoyed some sweet treats. Mac shared with Emily but when Mac asked Emily for a lick of her lolly-pop she bit it off and gave him the stick, oh boy!

Fun date day

Image
Mac and I had a date day yesterday. I don't often get to do something with just Mac so it was nice for us to sneak away. We went to Busch Gardens and rode rides all afternoon. Mac enjoyed all the rides and talked me into going on a water ride with it being a bit chilly outside. He loved it and wanted more. After a stop for ice cream and then a few of the kiddie rides we headed home. It was so much fun to just hang with Mac for a while!

More pics from egg hunt today

Easter Egg Hunt

Image
We did an Easter egg hunt this morning. Pappy and Karen are visiting and it was an early roll out for an 8 am egg hunt but the kids enjoyed it. We started with a visit with the bunny and face painting, of course Emily wanted nothing to do with either of them. There were a variety of games with little prizes, cookies and juice. Then there was a magic show and Mac got called up to help which was tickled with. After the magic show the egg hunt began. Mac and Emily were in different areas due to their ages. Emily had a ball picking up eggs (lots of pink ones) and Mac had to dump his bucket a few times. He ended up with 66 eggs, he was on a roll! It was alot of fun.

New way to wear underware

Image
Emily has been potty training off and on, when she shows interest I roll with it. This evening while wearing her Dora (of course) underwear. She had to pee and Holly took her to the potty, when she was done I asked that she get her panties on. Holly got a phone call at the time but I didn't realize she didn't help her until Emily had an accident and we were walking upstairs to change her - guess Emily got a little confused when putting on her underwear....

MacKinnon

Image
A few weeks ago Mac started writing his name as Mac Kinnon instead of Mac. I don't know why, he's just choosing to write it this way. His writing is improving. He did this one on one of his worksheets from preschool. Emily spilled her milk tonight so it got a little wet!

Waiting for Aunt Holly

Aunt Holly's was supposed to arrive a little after 5 tonight so thinking Emily would nap on the hour trip to the airport after a crazy busy morning, Holly's fight ended up getting delayed until a little after 7. Were were going to have dinner out but with it being later I fed the kids before we headed to the airport. Poor Emily couldn't keep her eyes open and fell asleep while eating. She was doing some serious head bobbing and Mac thought it was hilarious. As we was laughing hysterically Emily would giggle, while she was still sleeping, it was too funny!

Mac's rocket race car

Image
Mac drew this picture yesterday of rocket race car, he did a pretty good job. He kept asking me to please take a picture and once I did he was thrilled. He's getting into drawing these days which is cool to see.

George Washington

As we were getting ready this morning out of the blue Mac says "George Washington should have gotten a haircut". A little puzzled I asked him what made him think of that and he said "I don't know I just think he needs a haircut, he's got crazy hair". Macisms.....I have no idea what make him think of George Washington!

Fun with friends

Image
We had a lunch play date with one of Mac's favorite buddies. After a fun lunch we hiked on trails, went to the park, and finished up with ice cream on the way home. It was a blast and the kids were exhausted, and so am I.

Charles is back for a visit

Image
A few months ago Mac brought home Charles from school. He's a stuffed animals that every weekend one of the children take home, it was Mac's turn again. Last time Charles went everywhere with us, this time it's turning out the same. Mac is dragging him everywhere....including outside to play today.

Backyard fun

Image
The beautiful weather returned today so we spent most of the afternoon in the back yard. Both kids love swinging, Emily seems to enjoy swinging on her belly or in her swing and Mac can now get himself pretty high on the swings, it makes me nervous....especially when he asks if he can jump off when he's swinging forward and high up! Mac enjoyed taking some pictures too, I'm glad the kids aren't camera shy, we had smiles galore today! I love it!

Flipping

Mac figured out how to do a flip on his own today on the swing set, he wanted me to blog it so daddy could see....

Yuck

Emily's latest word that I hear alot these days is "Yuck". She says it very cutely, but everything is yuck these days....

I woke up on the right side of the bed

Mac was too cute this morning. I heard him get up and was fiddling in his room for a little while, then I heard him go downstairs. I called down to him and asked him what he was doing his response: "I'm dressed, brushed my teeth, made my bed and am getting Emily something special ". He comes upstairs with a sippy cup of milk for Emily and says "I woke up on the right side of the bed this morning Mom" and asks if he can go down and get his cereal started. I got Emily dressed and met him downstairs, he fixed cereal for himself and Emily, it was too cute! I love it when days start this well, most days it's a challenge to get him motivated to get dressed and ready for breakfast!

Kinda rainy saturday

Image
Today started out rainy so after a trip to the gym I took the kids to a children's music show in Colonial Williamsburg. After the show we had lunch and the kids had an ice cream cone. Mac, for some reason had to have his picture taken with the statue. Both kids loved their ice cream as you can tell!

Childs pleasure

With the warmer weather here the past few days, Mac and Emily love to have the car windows rolled down. Listening to them giggle and enjoying the air blowing in the car warms my heart...Mac thanked God tonight in his prayers for being able to enjoy the fresh air with his window down.. so sweet.

Another beautiful day

Image
We had another beautiful day here in Williamsburg, 60 plus degrees and lots of sunshine. We just had to get outside. After I picked Mac up from preschool we met a friend at the park. The boys rode in and played for hours it was great. The first pick was as we were walking in the park on the trail, all 3 boys stopped and were peeing at the tree, it was a hilarious sight but I couldn't get my camera out quick enough! Emily did great too at the park aside from her belly issues that kept us up a good portion of the night! Both kids were exhausted and fast asleep by 6:45 tonight! Time for me to go to bed.

What a beautiful day

Image
We had a gorgeous day here today, sunny and 60 degrees. We spent most of our day outside along with lots of the neighborhood kids. We also had one of Mac's friends come over and play. Both kids were wiped out after a busy day so hopefully they will sleep well. My friends mom called, her son started throwing up when they got home (we've got norovirus running through Williamsburg right now), so guess I'll need to be on vomit watch for the next few days. It will be a rough couple of days if the kids get sick....send happy thoughts and prayers our way!
