More stitches.....

Image
Mac had a buddy over today, we spent most of the day outside playing.  The kids were all playing well, I was pulling weeds and everyone was happy....... until I hear Emily scream.  I look over my shoulder and she is holding her head, as I pick her up I see blood running down her face.  Mac's friend accidently hit her as he was swinging a golf club.  The boys has been hitting golf balls around the yard, Mac's friend swung not realizing Emily was close and our poor girl got another wound above her eye.    3 stitches later and a stop at the ice cream store and she's back to normal.  I always thought Mac would be the one with all the wounds as fearless as he is but Emily seems to be the one in the wrong place at the wrong time.  While she needed stitches we are grateful it wasn't her eye or teeth...it could have been worse.  Thanks to our gracious God for watching over her!

Feeling old

Image
Mac has a friend over today and he looked at the picture below and asks Mac who the people in the picture were.  Mac says "my mom and dad", his friend says "your mom looks young in the picture".  It was only 9 years ago......boy do I feel old now!

Snakes....again

Image
Mac's second snake caught in our front yard this season......as I pull weeds I just wait to find one.  I'm sure they whole county will hear me scream.......

Date day with Aunt Holly

Image
Saturday Holly took the kids for "date day" while John and I got a long bike ride in.  They played tennis, went to the park, had lunch at JJ's (Mac's favorite place) and dessert at Mora's (Emily's favorite place).  Everyone had a good day, the kids didn't eat dinner since they were still "full of ice cream", but enjoyed their date with Aunt Holly!

Snuggling

Image
After a busy week at camps the kids had a little "down time" before we went swimming.  Holly enjoyed her cuddle time with both kids who "took turns".  Willie has to join in on the snuggling time too with Holly and Emily!

Tennis camp

Image
Mac had tennis camp this past week and had a good time.  Some of his buddies were in the camp as well which made it even more fun for him.  He seems to enjoy almost any sport he does and has a hard time picking his favorite!

Ballet camp

Image
Emily hasn't had the opportunity to do many camps because she's not quite old enough for is most of them, but she was able to do ballet camp this week and just loved it.  On the last day they did a brief "show" for us, it was cute.  She'll get to do a VBS with Mac in a little over a week and is tickled to be able to do something else!

Favorite time of night...

Image
Most nights when John is home he tells the kids a "story" at bedtime.  He's done this pretty much since they were little and the kids just love it.  John is so imaginative and creative and creates such great stories.  I love to see them all snuggled up hanging on John's every word....creating great moments to treasure!

A fun day at the lake

Image
There's a local Lutheran camp area that Emily's preschool belongs too.  We've been invited to come out with some of the other moms a few times, today we finally had a free afternoon.  The kids had a blast playing in the lake with some of their friends.  It was fun to watch Mac playing with all the boys, joining in on a game of baseball.  It was a fun afternoon and everyone was exhausted!

Macism....

Mac asks me today:  "Does almond milk come from almond cows?".........

Soooo tired

Mac was up at 4 am yesterday to go fishing after only sleeping for about 6 hours, he got to bed late since we were at a friends house for dinner.  Then last night we were at another friends house and the kids got to bed around 9:45.  About 45 minutes after Mac went to bed we hear him stumbling around upstairs and ask him of he's ok.  He's responds in jibberish, John runs upstairs and finds him peeing in a planter in the hall....poor kid was so tired and disoriented he pulled an "Uncle Jim"!

Another successful fishing day

Image
John and Mac had another successful fishing day yesterday.  After getting up at 4 am, which Mac jumped out of bed to go fishing they landed 2 more salmon and filled their crab pots having to throw some back again because they limited out.  I'm so glad Mac just loves fishing, it's so great that he and John both love it and get to hang out!

Park fun

Kids had fun playing at the park.... it was a beautiful park on the water.  Wish we had brought our swimsuits!
