Emily's field trip

Image
I was able to chaperone Emily's class field trip to the library today.  The librarian did a great job reading to the kids and they all loved picking out books!

Great hikers!!!!

Image
We wanted to do a family hike, so we "talked" the kids into doing the hike John and I did a few weeks ago.  We weren't sure how the kids would do with it being a fast and steep climb.  We were very surprised at how well the kids actually did.  It only took us 45 minutes and neither of the kids complained about it.  They loved the view from the top, we rested for a while.  Coming down was much harder, mainly for Emily.  With shorter legs it's hard but she did great!  The enjoyed a well earned ice cream after this hike.... it did make John and I excited about future hikes knowing they can handle some more challenging ones!!!!

Friday fun

Image
We are very blessed to have a family 2 doors down that has 2 girls, 6 and 8 years old.  Emily loves to play with the girls, it's nice for her to have some friends close by.  They will play for hours, today they wanted to make "fans".  They did a great job!

Swim meet

Image
Mac had a swim meet today, it was a beautiful day!  He was working hard to try to get some AA times so he can compete in a meet later this month.   While he improved his time in 3 of the 4 events he missed a AA time by less than a second.  He also had a issue with his googles in one of his swims and was unable to swim well for the event.....poor dude.  It was his first really tough swim.....but he made it through !!!!

Lazy Saturday....

Image
It's been a busy week getting back into the swing of things.  The kids were awful quiet today....we found them sitting in our front yard, drawing and writing!

Welcome home Willie

Image
Willie has been staying at Spa Aunt Holly for a few months while we moved.  We were so excited to be able to bring him home today.  There is a ton of hurdles to jump over to bring your pets into Hawaii and fortunately we did everything correctly!  I sedated Willie to make the journey easier for him.  It was a long day, he spent about 12 hours in his carrier and was glad to be free as soon as we got home.  He hovered over the water bowl....then the food bowl.  Poor cat has been through alot......we are glad to have him home!  Big THANKS to Aunt Holly for taking care of him....he was living the life of luxury at her house!

Silly photo's

Wedding day, YAH Mike and Sarah

Image
We are so blessed to be able to part of such a beautiful wedding and are so excited for Mike and Sarah.    We are so honored to have Sarah as part of the family, the kids are excited they can officially call her Aunt Sarah!!!!  Sarah was a beautiful bride, we know Mike and Sarah will have an amazing life together.  Emily looked so darling in her flower girl dress and the boys did a great job as ring bearers.  Mike and Sarah created special "fishing poles" for the kids to hand them their rings.  It was a beautiful day and an gorgeous wedding, God awesomeness shines through in his blessing of Mike and Sarah!
