The Mac Kinnon Family

Wow, what a beautiful day God has given us to celebrate the resurrection of Christ.  Our day started with two kiddos eager to see if they had an Easter basket.  Mac got a swim bag and Emily got an art tablet for the Wii, both of course got some other goodies and candy and were very excited to start the day.  The kids opened their cards, they each received $20 from family and Mac says "I would like to give $10 to the church today, put $5 in my bank and spend $5.....all on his own, we were so happy with how he wanted to spend his money, what a great decision.  Of course Emily says "me too"!  After getting dressed in the Easter outfits, Mac sporting his new duds from Gran and Emily the dress she "just had to have" we headed off to church.  We spent the rest of the day having an Easter picnic with friends at a local park.  We enjoyed time together playing and feasting of course!  Emily learned how to ride her bike without training wheels (blog to fol...

Mac and I ran a 5k this morning at one of our local churches.  They also hosted alot of fun activities for kids along with an Easter egg hunt.  Emily liked playing the various games while Mac wanted to bounce and climb.  They were both excited for the egg hunt and had alot of fun.  Emily was sporting her new outfit from Gran.....and our local viking is now sporting some bunny ears and carrying a basket.  We all giggled when we saw him!

Spring break has started, we are having great weather and had a fun play date today.  Smiles all around!

While we were at Mac's baseball practice last night it started raining, it came down in buckets for a little while.  When it lightened up Emily wanted to play in the puddles, she had a blast!  

Emily's preschool teacher asked me if we could bring Sammy in sometime for the class to see.  John and I wanted Mac to do it and it worked out that Mac was out of school yesterday for spring break.  Mac did a great job talking about Sammy and the majority of the kids wanted to touch him.  We also fed Sammy, I expected a few kids to be grossed out but every single one of them had their faces plastered to the cage to watch him eat.  Sammy had stage fright and wouldn't eat, once everyone backed away he ate, they all were fascinated.   Emily was very happy to have the class see Sammy and his teacher thought it was pretty cool!

We were watching American Idol the other night, Emily grabs her play guitar and was "jamming" with Keith Urban on TV! 

Emily just finished up her first session at "level 3".  She is doing a great job, she made it all the way on her own! 

Mac's school had a "karaoke" night to benefit one of the charities they are part of.  Each of the classes got up on stage and sang a song, it was very cute.  

Tuesday Emily's preschool went on a field trip to a children's museum.  It was a neat place, Emily had been there before.  It's always fun to go with your friends, Emily loved to "shop" and do some crafts.  Afterwards we went to the park, Emma had to come too....Emily loves pushing her in the swing!
