Great gift

John and I celebrated our 6th anniversary this past Monday, although we were seperated by thousands of miles it was still a special day. I was able to sneak a card into John's suitcase before he left so it was a nice surprise for him and he sent a really neat gift for all of us. He found a company that makes books from our blog, so we have a record of these blogs and most pictures that are posted on the blog. They are really neat, hard cover books and when they arrived both kids were all over them looking at the pictures. It will be so nice to have for us and the kids when they are older to have this memories of their childhood, funny little things that we would have probably forgotten by the time they were adults!

We are hoping to sneak away for a nice dinner when grandma Jan comes to visit in a few weeks!

What a neat idea!!!... Modern technoligy just amazes me... Can't imagine how something like that can be done. Karen and I look forward to seeing the gift when we visit before long.

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
