What a Christmas day

Santa came to our house will full bags and then some this year! Mac woke up around 3:30 this morning and came in and asked us he could go see if Santa came. We told him no it was way to early to get up so he crawled in bed with us and woke us up about every hour to see if we could go downstairs. A little after 6 am we gave in and boy Santa did come! Mac's gift from Santa was a Razor scooter and a transformer and for Emily was a kitchen. Both kids were ecstatic. Then we opened our stockings and the kids dug into a few gifts. Mac was giggling and just couldn't get enough. After Emily had a few presents opened and her arms full she didn't want to open anymore presents. After a while we got them all open and it looked like a toy store blew up in our house. We are so thankful for all the gifts from family, I think next year we will limit it to one gift per child. They are set for all long while, both kids received some wonderful gifts.

We went to dinner at a friends house which was wonderful. Our friends priest also joined us for dinner, perfect for Christmas day! I uploaded a few pictures to the blog but uploaded all of them from today to Picasa, just click on the link at the bottom (small picture of Emily). Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
