Belly flop....

Tonight was the last night of the kids first session of swim lessons.  Emily has done surprisingly well and Mac's joy of swimming has returned. Being the last night, Mac's group was able to go off the diving boards.  Mac of course had no fear and went right off the high dive.  His second time going off the hight dive, he says "watch me" as he's going up.  I was watching Emily and then all of a sudden I here a thump in the water and people gasped loud.  Mac decided to try to do a flip off the high dive and made one full turn but over rotated and landed in the water on his side, kind of belly flopping.  It knocked the wind out of him and left a huge welt on his side.  After, he swam to the side and regained his composure.  Within minutes he was ready to go on the diving board again.  John told him not to do any more tricks until he can practice on the small diving board....Mac agreed.  Hopefully he won't do something like that again.......my heart can't take it!
