Mother's day tea
Mac's teacher invited all the mom's to Mother's Day tea in the classroom yesterday. She had her mom and daughter there too which was pretty special. The kids were so darling, as the mom's waiting outside the came out one by one giving us a flower and "escorting" us to our seats. They sang 3 songs for us, each read a poem about us and showed us their painting of us. Then we had some tea and a yummy snack while they "interviewed" us by asking a variety of questions and then we played a game. As we left we were given a tile that had their hand print on it. It was such a fun time, they did a great job and his teacher is awesome.
Mac's picture of me is on the top, the second one from the right (under of the). Mac said "sorry mom I spilled the blue paint"! Mac's video is on the bottom of him reading his poem about me. His teacher gave all the kids the questions to write their poems. They all talked about what we are like first thing in the morning, out favorite thing to wear, what we do to relax, if we like laundry, our favorite thing to eat, etc. Some of the kids poems were hilarious! What a great time.
