School circus

All year long at the kids school they work to get on "clubs" for the schools annual circus.  The kids love the excitement and almost everyone does something.  This year was the "20th year" of the circus!  Each of the lower classes "perform" an act and the older kids do alot of the more complicated things.  Emily worked hard an was on the pogo club and cartwheel club in addition to being a pixie for her class and doing a "Scottish performance".  Mac was on the pogo club, spinner club, monkey club, unicycle club, head standing club and juggling club.  It was really special when Mr. Gilman gave Mac a special trophy for being the youngest juggler in the school.  Mac really worked hard for all the clubs but he really pushed himself to learn how to juggle in a few weeks.  All the kids did an amazing job and were all super excited about all the events.  There are several videos of our kids and their various performances, you may have to tilt you head to watch a few of the videos!  It was an amazing job by all the kids, I wish I could have video recorded the entire performance.

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
