Happy 9th Birthday to our beautiful girl!
Today our bright, cheerful, loving, beautiful daughter turned 9. We are so proud of the young lady she is becoming and were so excited to celebrate her birthday today! Before we started this trip, one of Emily's wishes was to ride a horse. We kept telling her we would do it and she kept reminding us! What a better time then Tombstone Arizona on your birthday to ride a horse!
Emily woke up to lots of balloons and decoration and a pink cowboy hat. It took her about 5 seconds to figure out where we were going today. We drove to Tombstone and were met by nice wranglers who got us all set up on our horses. Emily had Blue Eyes, Mac had Bowie, John had Freckles and I had Cowboy! They were all very nice and mellow horses. Emily was grinning from ear to ear almost the entire time. We had an hour "slow" ride and everyone did great. Emily is so excited to do it again soon!
After our ride we explored Tombstone. It's set in the historical theme and was really neat to see. We ate at Big Nose Kate's, yes we took our children to a saloon! They were giggled at the pictures on the wall and the cowboy on the piano wished Emily a happy birthday and of course she was so shy....but she did get ice cream out of it!
After exploring we make Emily's requested dinner, salmon, asparagus and rice. We topped it off with a red velvet cake and chocolate m and m ice cream. She opened up her presents and loved her "science kits" and Gabby Douglas book. A great day was had by all! Happy 9th Birthday Emily, we love you!!!!!
