Pneuomonia anyone?
So last weekend Emily had a fever, but acted relatively normal. The fever subsided Monday, she seemed ok Tues, then yesterday afternoon she was unhappy. No fever but clingy, not eating and having a rough day in general. By the time John got home I needed a break and went to the gym, John experienced the same. She was asleep by the time I got home at 7. She didn't sleep well throughout the night and started coughing something fierce.
This morning she was in good spirits, ate a little, but by 11 am she was feeling pretty miserable. So I called the doc and got her in the afternoon. She was wheezing and really was having an uncomfortable time breathing. They tried a nebulizer with Albuterol which did nothing. So after some blood work, 2 shots of antibiotics into her thighs and a chest x-ray (3 hours later) the poor girl has pneumonia.
We go back to the doctors tomorrow morning, doc thinks she should be a little better with the heavy antibiotics they gave. Poor girl cannot win.
