What a boy!

This morning as I was getting ready Emily grabbed my glasses and started pulling/bending just stretching them out...bad. I've been wearing my glasses more, they are old and they already are a mess. I grabbed them from her and told her that was bad, you aren't supposed to bend glasses that way, etc. then I said something along the line of "mommy can't afford to buy new glasses". Of course Emily went about her business and Mac who's over heard this follows her and tells her "you need to go say sorry to mommy", of course she could care less. He then comes into my room and says "mommy I'll buy you new glasses, when daddy gets home I'll get my money out of his truck". My heart was so warmed! I thanked him for being so generous and told him he can save that money for something special. What a great heart he has......

What a great story, Mac really says some good things at times showing he cares and wants to help.

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
