What to do at pappys?

Mac asked today if we can go to pappy's house, he said "it's been a long time since I've seen pappy". We were going to see him the end of the month with an event for Holly in Cali, but due to some change of plans we won't cross vacations in Cali. Looking at our calendar we don't have many free weekends between now and the end of August so I decided I would take the kids for a visit next weekend. Pappy was thrilled and the kids are excited too. I asked Mac what he wanted to do with pappy and he said "golf", of course. Emily starting saying "me golf too". I asked her if she wanted to golf with pappy or do something else special, she thought for a minute and said "go have ice cream"! Pappy will have it made, golfing with Mac and ice cream with Emily!

Pappy can't wait to see his grandkids,and his Daughter too. Will be counting the days to this special visit, wish John could make the trip too.

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
