Sleepover hangover

We are sure tired today between kids waking up and the time change we have a sleepover hangover. Luke, who's 4 woke up at around midnight, fortunately went back to sleep. Then Emily woke up around 1 and also fell back asleep in our bed. The kids tossed and turned, Emily and Luke make great sleeping buddies. John gave up around 3:30 and went to Emily's bed, then the bigger boys (Mac and Dixon) got up at 4:30 (5:30 to them with the time change). They were up for the day, so we sent them downstairs to put a movie in. By 6:30 we were all up and a house filled with the joy of 4 kids always makes for a great morning!

We figured we were in for a long day with Mac since he didn't get a full nights sleep and we were correct. It was a very long day but both kids were fast asleep by 6:15 tonight....let's hope for a quiet and peaceful night! Mac sure enjoyed the sleepover.

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
