Happy Birthday Emily.....day 2
Emily had a 2 day birthday celebration. Today I took Emily and two of her girlfriends over to Seattle to the American Girl Doll store. They were very excited, each girl brought their doll along. Once we arrived each doll got it's hair done in the "salon". Then we were off to shop, Emily has lots of birthday money to spend, it was fun at first then became a bit stressful. There was so much stuff, she was overwhelmed and just couldn't decide on what she wanted to pick. After about an hour she picked a few outfits, a carry bag and a chair for her dolls. After we were done shopping, Ingrid and Aunt Pam met us for tea at the store. The girls were tickled, American Girl does a great job, tea and "treats" were perfect. The staff was very sweet, several people wished her a happy birthday, then they asked her if they could sing happy birthday to her, after she said yes they asked her if they wanted everyone to sing which was loud or just a few people singing quietly. Emily asked if she could have a "quiet" song. So we sang quietly to her, which she loved. She opened one more gift then we were off to the ferry. The girls were all very good, but got very tired by the time we got home! Emily said "It was the best birthday....ever". She's happy to be 5! Happy birthday to my beautiful, bright and amazing princess!
