Mac swam in the Junior Age Group Championship this weekend. He was very excited for this meet, you had to have an A or AA time and could not have more than 2 qual times and could not swim in any event you had a qual. time.  It was ran very nicely and a great meet for kids competing on the same level.  After each stroke there was a break and the kids who placed in the top 8 were given medals.  Mac swam 3 events and a relay each day and medaled in 7 of the 8 events he swam.  The team had a great showing at this meet too, our team placed #1 out of 15 teams at this event.  The team spirit was high and the kids had alot of fun and swam their tales off!  Mac received 4th place for the 50 fly, 5th place for the 50 free and 6th place for the 200 free, his IM relay team received 1st place and made a new meet record.  The second day he received 4th place for the 50 breast and 100 IM and his freestyle relay team placed 2nd.  The only event he didn't receive a medal in was the 100 free, he was .3 of a second from 8th place.  There is a video toward the bottom with the start of his 100 IM (Mac is in the 2nd lane from the bottom, red cap).   It was a great meet for him, we are very proud of all his hard work!  This was the last meet of the season for short course...now onto long course!  Way to go Mac!
