Please touch museum in Philly

Image
We spent the day yesterday at the Please Touch Museum in Philly. It was a neat place for kids, Mac had a great time. The museum brought back memories for Gabe and Jordan, Paula took them to it many years ago, it moved into a new location recently which was beautiful. There was everything for them to do from water play, Alice in Wonderland, construction stuff, grocery store, carousel and more!

Happy Birthday Holly! Enjoy your special day!

Fun at Aunt Paula's

Image
Yesterday morning Mac woke up and was enthralled with the little bit of snow on the ground here at Paulas. We convinced Gabe to go outside with him, they made a few balls and played baseball, then made a snow man. Mac loves Gabe, who is really great with Mac. Our first night here we found Gabe passed out asleep.......how can a person sleep like this?

First Steps

Emily's been standing on her own for a while now and would walk if you held her hands and has taken a step here or there on her own. Yesterday she officially took her first steps, we grabbed the video and got her to take a few more. She's not walking anywhere for a long period of time, but she is taking more and more steps! Enjoy the video, we repeated it so you get to see it twice!

Trip to Aunt Paula's

We left last night to visit with Aunt Paula and the clan in Philly. John is insane enough to run the Philadelphia marathon tomorrow, it was 23 degrees this morning at 7 am, which will be about the same when John starts his race tomorrow. There is snow on the ground which Mac thinks is the greatest. We will be going into Philly today to have some fun, it's so nice to visit with Aunt Paula and the family. We don't get to see them often but it's always a great time when we do! Look for some cold weather pictures in the next blog.......

Crazy hair and brotherly love

Image
Emily's hair is out of control. He has lots of beautiful hair but doesn't like me messing with it and of course won't sit still. So often her hair is done with whatever style I can manage to get done to just get the hair out of her eyes. Today was a "pebbles" day as this style reminds me of Pebbles from the Flintstones! Check out her lovely hair! While we were at the Children's Museum today Mac was helping Emily up one of the little soft structures, it was very cute. Check out Emily's cute little hiney. Girls are so much more fun to dress then boys!

Grandma Jan's last day

Image
Grandma Jan left this evening to return home to Sacramento. We spent the day shopping a little for Christmas presents for the kids (so no one has to ship presents) and visiting the Children's Museum. It's such a neat place and so quiet on a weekday! We had a great visit with Grandma Jan and are looking forward to seeing her again in a few months.
