Image
As soon as the kids woke up this morning the wished John a Happy Father's Day and grabbed their cards and gift for him.  They were very excited for him to see the pictures they drew!  It was a good day, Happy Father's Day John we love you!  Thank you for being an awesome dad and husband.

Rainy run

Image
Saturday we wanted to go for a run and the forcast was a 30% chance of rain....in Washington we learned that means rain!  We found an old logging trail and ran about 4 miles while Mac rode his bike.  We are going to have to get use to lots of hills, no more flat runs around here!

Trip over.......go home

After 21 days, 4700 miles, amazing places and great visits with family and friends we have finally arrived in Washington.  We were all ready for our trip to be over, I think Emily says it best..........

Day 20, our adventure is almost over

We can't go past Santa Nella without stopping at Anderson's, so we had breakfast.  John almost had their split pea soup for breakfast!  Today was the first day Willie traveled with us, he was so stressed out I had to find a vet about 1 hour into the drive to give him a sedative and meds for traveling. $80 later he was less stressed.  We are in for another long day with an early wake up tomorrow.  We have to be to Washington by 4 to see our new home!  Were glad the trip is almost over, it's been so wonderful to visit family and see the sights we've seen but were all beat.....trip over, go home!

A day at Casa de Fruita with Aunt Holly

Image
Last night we pulled into Northern Cali at Case de Fruita.  We stayed here about 4 years ago for Thanksgiving with Jim, Toni and Brian, it was a fun place with neat things to do for the kids.  Holly came to visit us and spent last night and all day with us today.  She watched the kids so John and I could do a bike ride, which turned into a straight uphill hike, walking the bikes most of the way but fun coming down!  The kids enjoyed time at the playground and pool then we went a did a little train ride, sifted for "gems" had ice ream and rode the carousel.  It was a fun day and a great way to wear out the kids.  We've got two really long days in the car coming up.  We are looking forward to arriving in Washington on Friday.  It's been a really great trip but were ready to settle into one place for a while!

Welcome Home Willie

Tuesday night we arrived in Northern California, Holly came to meet us and spend the night.  She brought Willie back and we were all happy to see him, even John was a little but he wouldn't admit it!  Emily loved on him, we all gave him lots of hugs.  While his vacation at Casa Aunt Holly is over, he had a great time sunning himself in her courtyard and playing with one of her kitties.  Thank you Holly for keeping such good care of Willie, we are so happy to have him back with us!!  We'll see how he does on the road with us, hopefully he'll settle in and the kids will keep the camper doors shut!

Princess, Princess, Princess.......

We decided to get Emily's hair done at Disney hair salon, thinking they would use her own hair.  But they have these hair piece things, but Emily really seemed to enjoy the pampering and getting her hair done.  I cringed with the amount of hairspray, gel, etc that they used and did not let them put make up on her but she loved the experience!  After her hair was done we went to visit some princesses and Tinkerbell.  Emily's expressions were priceless and well worth the wait in line.  She was fascinated and just loved being able to talk to them.  As we were leaving for the day we saw a parade and there were lots of princesses.  Emily was waving as fast as her little hand could, she was so excited!  What a little princess she is becoming!
