Holly's retirement ceremony

Image
Holly retired Friday from the United States Coast Guard after dedicating 24 years of service.  She has had an amazing career and now is ready to move onto a new chapter of her life, she is off to college!  We are all so proud of Holly and all her accomplishments.  Her ceremony was beautiful, not a single flaw.  Seeing the 100 + people that attended her ceremony from all over the United States is a testimony of all the lives she has touched.  Congrats Holly, you deserve the best life......have fun surfing and studying!

Just hanging....or rolling!

The kids are enjoying spending time with all the family that has been around for Holly's ceremony!  Reading, bubble blowing, pool time and rolling down the hills have been fun!  I think Aunt Rae enjoyed the bubbles as much as the kids!

Fun with a good friend!

While we were in Alameda, I was able to connect with Rachel, an awesome friend who was my boss while I worked at the SPCA when we were stationed here 6 years ago.  It's amazing how quick all the kids have grown.  She is also a great face painter, Mac and Emily loved their artwork!  Thanks Rach!

Biggest Lemon

We arrived to Aunt Holly's on Tuesday, Mac almost immediately spied the biggest lemon growing on Holly's lemon tree.  Holly let him pick it which tickled Mac!  He has shown everyone the big lemon he got to pick!

Off for an adventure

Holly is retiring from the Coast Guard on Friday and the kids and I are off to California tomorrow...I'm flying with the two kids, fortunately it's only a 2 hour plan ride!  I'm sure it will be an adventure!  The kids did a great job packing their backpacks today, they are so excited!  I'm sure I'll get a good blog out of the trip tomorrow!

Call me....

At the dinner table tonight Emily asked if I would please call her "Long hair Princess Emily"....oh boy......

Enjoying the sun.......
