The Mac Kinnon Family

Mac and Emily were chatting while they were finishing their dinner tonight.  The conversation was: Emily:  When we grow up I want to marry you Mac:  Were brother and sister, we can't get married Emily:  We can just not remember and get married anyway..... Gave me a little chuckle while I washed the dishes!

The kids had their dental check up today and both did fantastic.  Emily was a very big girl, getting her first "pictures" of her teeth and did a great job for the cleaning, it's a good feeling to have no one freaking out!  Both are also free of cavity bugs.....makes the visit even better!

Mac came down with strep throat on Tuesday, after a visit to urgent care and a dose of antibiotics he was on the road to recovery.  I kept him home yesterday, he was still a little pitiful.  Today he seemed to feel better, his attitude was good but was still a little hoarse so John and I had a chat with him about "sick days" from school and that it doesn't mean you get to play all day.  We gave him the option and he chose to stay home.  I had him do some homework and just chill out.  He really wanted to go outside and play and when we picked Emily up from preschool he wanted to play on the playground.  He had a hard time when I said no....your home sick today!  I think he'll be more than ready for school tomorrow!

Mac has his cub scout pinewood derby Saturday.  He and John have worked really hard making their car, it turned out pretty cool.  They both had a great time working on it, I can't wait to see how the race goes!

I've had a groupon for a while and had to use it.  Our weekends seems to always get busy but we found time to make it over to the city on Sunday to go to the aquarium.  When we arrived the line was out the door and half way around the building, I never have seen it so busy but I guess on a rainy day it's a good thing to do.  It was a fun place, the kids had a great time! 

Happy St. Paddy's day! We've had a fun day.  Mac set up a trap last night to try to catch the leprechaun.  While he didn't catch him, the leprechaun left some yummy rice crispy treats!  I did a 5K, in the snow and rain but had a good race!   We topped off the night with some yummy cabbage rolls!!!! 

Emily had a play date and they were having a ball dressing up as princesses, shoes and all.  They had a great time!
