And skiing....

Image
Since Mac was learning how to snowboard with thought we'd see if Emily has any interest or talent in skiing.  She did a 2 hour lesson and did ok.  She seemed interested at first but then got bored, her teacher wasn't the most engaging.  She gave it a good try and seemed to learn a little!  Overall she was a great sport for the day!

Snowboarding

When we asked Mac if he wanted a birthday party this year or another "adventure" with some buddies he opted for going to learn how to snowboard with 2 of his buddies, Ethan and Samuel.  Sunday we rolled out early to arrive for an all day lesson.  While the lesson was slow moving, they have to start somewhere but by the end of the day they were all 3 going down the bunny slopes and doing well.  All they boys had a blast and were very tired but seemed to have learned alot!  What a fun day and the weather couldn't have been better!

Igloo

Mac's class started having everyone save milk jugs several months ago (425) and they reached their  goal when they got back to school after the holiday break.  They completed their igloo in about a week...with alot of glue!  It is pretty awesome!

Afternoon tea

Emily asked me to join her and her babies for tea today.  She set everything up except for making the tea.  I think she did a great job, it was fun!

Skate park fun

Image
Holly took the kids to the skate park and swimming pool yesterday.  She came home with a few grey hairs!  Mac has absolutely no fear and watching him was stressful for her, Emily fell on her scooter before they even got to the park.  The kids loved swimming, Mac is back to loving jumping off the high dive....just no more flips!   Emily loves to "swim for free" (she means free swim)!  They are stuck to Holly like glue, which I'm sure she doesn't mind!

Cute pics

Holly captured some good pics of the kids, the first 3 are from Friday after Holly surprised Mac at school, the last is Emily in ballet class!

Mac created this at school last week...I saw it hanging on the bulletin board!
