The Mac Kinnon Family

 Right at the end of dinner Emily saw this little button and as she was pressing it she says what does this do. It sets off an alarm but it was just for the waiters! It sounded like a fire alarm.

Some photos I got of of today's trip. 

 We traveled to Lautenbrunnen, Switzerland.   The drive was rainy at times so the pics from the bus are not the best but the view was amazing.  This little town in a valley with 3,000 ft cliffs on each side is one of the most beautiful places I have seen.  From my hotel balcony I can see a huge waterfall.  This place is like living in a ferry tail land.   It is known for extreme adventure town with paragliding, bungee jumping and white water rafting.   Emily wants to do all three but we only have one day and one check book.  We are also at the mercy of the weather which is calling for rain.  We had lighting and thunder tonight so we’ll see.   The above video is from the street in front of our hotel with the flags.  Mac and Emily have the balcony on the right side, 3rd floor.  Amity and I have a back balcony. We had a guided tour of one of the Nazi concentration camps located in Dachau. It was designed to hold about 7,000 prisoners but by the end of the war, there were over 30,000.  When the liberators arrived they found 3,000 dead and over 7,000 in a shallow grave because due to the lack of coal, the incinerators could not run.  The barracks have since been torn down but they have the pads on the ground where they once stood, 30 in total.  This was a moving visit and I hope it puts Omaha Beach in perspective when we visit.  Germany requires 15-16 year old kids to study WWII and visit the concentration camps as a field trip   They even built a hostel for the students to stay in if the school is a long way away.    At first they used to take the dead to the town crematorium but as the number of dead rose they built their own.  (Above).
