Molly goes to fish heaven

Molly (one of our first fish) hadn't been looking good for the past few days, I figured he/she may not survive. John found her belly up this morning and sent him/her to fish heaven. I was heading to Newport News today and decided I would swing into the pet store and pick up a new fish, we were also looking for a friend for Max.

I was successful and found a friend for Max, a red sword tail and a beautiful Sunburst Platy. I named the platy "Sunny" and Mac named the red sword tail - "Rooster". Max hasn't been very nice to Rooster and is picking on him. If he continues to be a snot then we'll take Rooster back to the pet store. Were hoping everyone will get along. I never realized fish has such personalities.

Catfish Hunter has mellowed out and is growing on me. John and I are really enjoying our fish tank!

Your fish tank looked neat, and it was the perfect place for it...Can't wait to see the new additions.... Did Molly get a burial or a flush??

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
