Consignment sale score!

I'm becoming a consignment sale junkie, yesterday was one of the biggest in the Williamsburg area, it happens in the spring and fall. This was my third and each time is a learning experience. It's a great way to shop for Emily, I always find great things. It's harder for Mac since kids stay in their clothes longer when they get bigger and there just isn't alot for the bigger kids. I did find him a pair of cleats for t-ball, a puzzle and some books. I got some great summer clothes for Emily. I ended up with 8 dresses, 2 pants, 3 capri/shirt sets, 2 short/shirt sets, 10 shorts, 3 skirts, 4 capri pants, 11 shirts, 1 swim suit, a Dora pack pack, Dora plate, cup and bowl, 2 pairs of shoes and for Mac, 18 books, cleats and a puzzle....all for 150 bucks! Score!

Amity, I think you may have inherited your yard sale addiction from my Mom... You do a great job finding bargins, your Grandma would be proud!!!!

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
