David in all his glory

 Unbelievable what Michaelangelo was able to do at 26 years old.  He was becoming well known but after creating David he began receiving commissions from all over Italy.  At first they were going to display it up on a Church but after seeing it they decided to place it in the city square.  It was there for hundreds of years until moving it to the museum in the 1800’s. Doctors have studied this statue ate detail and the anatomical details are perfect.  You can even see veins in his arms and legs.
