Vatican Museum

 We definitely underestimated the number of paintings, sculptures, and architecture that the Vatican Museum offered.   It is a full day just in the museum if you want to see everything.  It has over 1400 rooms and chapels.  We saw about 40 and that was exhausting.  We used the Rick Steve’s audio tour on our phones with AirPods and it worked great.  We had to slow the kids down because they began the tour listening to it at 2X speed and were racing through it.  We finished the tour at the Sistine Chapel.  There was a pretty strict dress code.   No shoulders showing or knees.  Also, no hats which I broke a couple times out of habit.
