Arc de Triomphe

Since we are staying so close to the Arc de Triomphe we had to take the tour.  It was started by Napoleon as he wanted his troops to return to a hero’s welcome and pass through the Arc.  Unfortunately they lost the war and and Napoleon was over thrown and beheaded before it was finished in 1836.  It is 136 ft high so our climb up a small circular staircase was fun.  The view however was amazing.
