Day seven - a long drive

We changed our route today, we were going to drive up into Montana, then stop at a campsite in the Big Horn National Forest, instead we decided to drive straight to Rapid City, SD. We were going to drive here on Sunday, then spend the afternoon visiting Mt. Rushmore, we decided a full day would be better. We drove 350 miles today, it took almost 12 hours with numerous stops and slow driving through the mountains. The kids did great, Mac seemed to be feeling a little run down, so today was a good day to rest up. Aside from me pinching Emily with her car seat strap, she did very well too! We arrived very tired but glad we drove the 350 miles. We are off to explore Mt. Rushmore on Sunday!
