Crazy Birthday for Grandma Jan

Grandma Jan and Brian are visiting us and today is Jan's birthday. We wanted to do something nice for her today for her birthday, instead I drug her all around Williamsburg this morning, then Brian gets sick and starts throwing up, right before Mac's swim lessons. We started our day at 6:45 when Mac woke her up, then were out the door at 8:30, drop Mac off, take Emily to music class, go to Mac's Easter program, lunch out, go to Mac's speech session, to the weapons station to get some medication refilled, then Brian throws up. We met John and the house, dropped Brian off with him, took Jan to Mac's swim lessons, swung into the grocery store and picked up pizza and back home at 5:30. Jan cleans up the car seat that was full of puke.

Poor Jan didn't get any rest or special treatment today, we ate pizza and sang Happy Birthday, she did get a yummy cake from Coldstone! Hopefully we'll get to do something special this weekend when we go to DC to see the cherry blossoms. Happy Birthday Jan!!!!!

Probably not a Birthday to remember for Jan, but I,m sure being with family and her Grand-kids was special.

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
