Snow let down

All day Monday the news kept talking about a winter storm with "serious" accumulation of snow that would be coming into the area Monday night into Tuesday morning. Of course 2" of snow everyone freaks. Mac was so excited with the prospect of snow, all he could talk about was being able to play in the snow. As soon as he opened his eyes on Tuesday morning he ran to the window and pulled back the blind to find there was no snow. He was disappointed but optimistic is was still going to come. Poor guy never got his snow.....the storm pooped out and only North Carolina got significant snowfall.

He keeps asking for snow. I told him in February when John is gone again maybe we'll take a trip to Pappy's if he has snow so Mac can have some fun in some real snow!

Pappy will pray for snow in February so Mac can have his fun in the snow.....It will be so nice if the Pa. trip happens, we'll all have a great time.

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
