Our day started better......

Mac woke up happy this morning with no fever, which was a delight to see. I decided he still needed to stay home today since he was pretty sick yesterday and needed to allow his body more time to rest. By lunch time I could see he wasn't feeling as good, he took a nap and was ok when he woke up but you could tell in his eyes he wasn't feeling great. I was watching my neighbors kids while she went to the ER (she broke her finger) which hyped Mac up. By the time they left Mac was pretty wasted, I took his temp and sure enough it was at 102 again. After a dose of Tylenol he was a new kid again. Hopefully he'll feel better tomorrow.

Pappy called earlier this week and said he and Karen wanted to come for the weekend, which is a blessing for me. With John gone, having the company will be great. Also it will allow for me to have a little break. Mac is so excited and can't wait to show Pappy how he can ride his bike. I think Pappy's equally excited about helping him!

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
