Is Pappy on his way?

That's all I heard from the time Mac opened his eyes this morning. He wanted to call pappy at 6:30 am to see if he was on his way. I held him off until a little before 8. He called Pappy who wasn't on the road yet, a few hours later Mac wanted to call Pappy again to see where he was. He was one excited little boy this am. When Pappy and Karen finally arrived he was thrilled, Pappy didn't get a moment of peace until Mac went to bed, which I'm sure he loved! Emily warmed up to Pappy right away.

Mac is feeling better today, still not at 100% but definitely on the road to recovery. Pappy's going to watch both the kids for a few hours in the morning while Karen and I attend a women's breakfast at our church. Fortunately Pappy doesn't have much hair left to pull out, it will be fun for him I'm sure!

Pappy and Karen arrived and had a great weekend... Pappy enjoyed his bonding time with Mac and Emily on Saturday morning... Emily certainly took to Pappy, and became my "Little Sweetie"

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
