Saturday with Pappy

Pappy did a great job with the kids while Karen and I went to the Women's breakfast. I think it was some great bonding time. The kids loved to have Pappy read to them, Emily is started to become interested in books which is great. Her fascination is with a "Peek a Who" book that Aunt Holly gave her. She will have you read it 5 or 6 times before she'll get a new one!

Everyone just chilled out Saturday afternoon, Mac was still sick, I'm fighting it and everyone else just wanted a nap. Pappy left this morning, Mac was very sad to see Pappy go. It was so nice to have some company while John is gone, it was a real treat to have Pappy and Karen here and the kids enjoyed their time with Pappy!

Time was so short, but Miss Emily certainly was a joy, and I was surpised how well Mac can ride his bike... Looking forward to seeing everyone in Florida...

Pappy really enjoyed all the special time with Mac and Emily!! We're looking forward to having you all up to visit when we get settled. Mac, we'll have the volleyball ready in the backyard!

Hanging with Aunt Christina

Friday night Christina came out from LA to hang with us. John headed out early Saturday morning to spend a week fishing in Mexico with Jimmy for his 40th birthday!  Saturday Christina and the kids played almost all day long.  From shooting targets with Mac to being a princess, then playing Zombies with the kids and lots of Uno....all before lunch!  We hung out at the pool for a little in the afternoon, then met Mike and Sarah for some dinner and arcade games.  What an awesome way to end our last night with Grandma Cheryl, Mike and Christina.  I think everyone had a blast and I think Christina slept pretty well Saturday night!!!!!!

Movie with the kids

The forecast for today was a high of 100 degrees with humidity so what else is there too do on a hot day but hit the movies. I surprised the kids with lunch then we went and saw Toy Story 3 in 3D, the kids loved it. Emily did much better than I expected and only got bored the last 20 minutes or so. Mac of course couldn't take his eyes off the movie.
